Christmas is a time of joy and excitement at Casa Hogar and the children all love celebrating together with their families.
Casa Hogar now has a more permanent presence in the US. Jess Mollison, Director of Development, will be based out of La Crosse, WI working from the US for part of the year. Click here for more information.
Project Wall was the volunteer project that our June group chose. Raising all of the funds prior to their trip, they were able to come and help us build a new wall for Casa Hogar!
One of the most important positions at Casa Hogar is that of the Family Teachers. They are the ones who spend the most time with the children. They live with them, love them and care for them as if they were their own children. That is why it is so important for us to have good Family Teachers who enjoy the work. We are very pleased to welcome 12 new Family Teachers to the Casa Hogar family.
After an intense two-week training course, the Family Teachers are now all moved in and adjusting to life at Casa Hogar. Please keep them in your prayers as they make this transition. Welcome to the family!
Welcome to Casa Hogar Juan Pablo II’s brand new website! We are so happy that you are here and we hope that this site will serve as a way for you to learn more about our work and to find a way to get involved. This site has many new features so please take a moment to look around.
Casa Hogar is a home for orphaned and abandoned children in Peru. There are 64 children who live at Casa Hogar ranging in age from 4 years to 17 years. Our care is very unique from the more traditional orphanage model. If you are not familiar with our Family Model, please take a moment to read about it in the Program section of this site.
We hope that you will come back again soon to see even more updates and additions to the site.
Thanks for visiting!
